Oct. 10, 2026 – presenting the weaving of Wence Martinez – In Perswon and ZOOM
Wence has exhibited his tapestries over the summer at the Watrous Gallery in Overture Center (exhibit runs until Oct. 12, 2026).
Nov. 23, 2026 – presentation detailing formation of study group Rigid Heddle Weaving – in person and ZOOM
Dec. 21, 2026 – Christmas party at Mary Jo Shiavano’s home – in person
Jan. 18, 2027 – looking at American Cotton – Zoom presentation from Michael White of Georgia Yarn Company – ZOOM
Feb. 15, 2027 – Speaker to be announced – ZOOM
March 15, 2027 – surprise tribute to a member – in Person and ZOOM
April 19, 2027 – exploring devices to make warp chains – in Person
We will explore the techniques of using warping mills, warping squares and devices used to prepare warp chains.
May 17, 2027 – Picnic and last meeting before summer break – in Person
